I have a friend whose father died more than 3 years ago and she is still using his placard. When I told her it was illegal, she stated sometimes she really needs it for her knees but will not go to a physician. Besides, she said "They'll never catch me anyway." She uses it everywhere for her "land yacht" and ignores my advice to return the card. When I travel with her, I (...) View more

From C3 c5,c7, t7, L3, L4, L5 and my sacrum. I choose to force myself to walk. It increases the life expectancy, especially since I have had breathing problems.
I leave my truck, which is old and I am wrongfully ticketed. I could spend hundreds getting new plates of my disability money, but I shouldn't have to to keep from being discriminated against. It isn't MENTAL WHEN IT SHOWS ON (...) View more

I feel for each and every one of you. I too have those days when things are going ok until it gets too much. On my good days, I can walk a New York city block, but then I need at the minimum, a half hour to rest the legs. My leg problems started as a kid with flat feet and a number of podiatrists selling my parents ortho supports of various designs and materials. Some hurt so bad that I took them (...) View more

that all the blacks are going through. Up at the local HyVee on 18th Avenue and 29th Street in Rock Island, IL., they not only park in front of the store in the fire lanes, but they also park in the HC spots and the diagonal stripe areas with no visible placards or plates and think they aren't in the wrong. I see Hispanics or Latinos try parking there for a brief moment and get (...) View more
When I'm out and about I’d say at least 75% of the people I observe are not nearly as severe as the law states they need to be to park in an HC space. Yet able body people who park in HC spaces with a placard seem to have these seemingly invisible issue that make them so disabled in a parking lot, but they have this magic ability to be cured once inside the HUGE store they walk around with (...) Just watched their show where they (that is, the one who talks) stridently denounce the ADA and especially HC parking regs as useless and an intrusion on the rights of society. Outrageous and absurd. One of their fully-employed DNA-privileged "experts" explained that store-owners should have the right to make their establishments as difficult to access as they please and get to choose (...) I came across this site while researching a handicap parking question. I’m a retired law enforcement officer and now work as the head of security of a large private medical building. I was once a volunteer for my local police department in the area of handicap parking enforcement. In 2008 I personally wrote 65% of all handicap parking citations written in my city.
I deal (...) View more
Ok, I'm a rookie city officer in the state of GA and I could use some help here. At a local Wal-Mart I am incessantly ticketing handicap parking violators. I get on foot and exam each tag to ensure it is valid and act appropriately if not. One violation I have recently stopped ticketing for is when vehicles, who usually have a valid handicap tag/decal, park in the blue gore area(the area (...) View more
