srpingcreek, PAI have had it with selfish, inconsiderate people who seem to believe that the striped lines are for parking. It has actually gotten worse over the past few years. Common Sense (and your driving booklet) tells you otherwise. The latest act of some selfish, lazy, inconsiderate person was completely unbelievable yet it happened. I had pulled into the only remaining parking spot for use with a side (...) View more

Greer, SCI have come to believe after 10 years of residency in SC that ALL of SC is handicapped! Everybody and his brother has a HC placard! When I was in the DMV one time the person attending the desk asked the individual how many HC placards she wanted. Whats with this??? Isn't ONE sufficient? I guess all the other ones she got were for her family and friends! It's amazing - Out of 10 pages (...) View more

Arlington, VAI live in Virginia, and am hearing impaired. I got a HP parking placard, as navigating a parking lot can be hazardous for people with hearing impairments. Ever try walking through a crowded parking lot with motorists breezing through at 30+ miles an hour with headlights off and blindfolds on? Now try doing that with target shooter's plugs in your ears. Lots tougher and more dangerous, (...) View more

Corpus, TXThere are many people that can find a way to qualify for a handicap plate/card. The big question is are you the most in need of that close parking space. I am 80 percent DAV, walking with a cane, but I am not as much in need as my father who is 100 percent and can not get out of his cart. So do I give dirty looks to the ones who breezes into the Walmart, YOU BET.

Toms River, NJI have posted like maybe twice before. I am 24 years old with a 4 year old daughter. I fall into a non-visible handicap category. I have muscular dystrophy and the form I have is called facioscapulohumeral muscular dystrophy (FSHD for short) and and it does cause hearing impairment in some. I have my days where it's either up or down. Some days it's too sore, hard or both for me to walk (...) View more

San Francisco, CAIn SOMA in San Francisco where I work daily parking in a garage costs $20 - 28 per day. Metered parking costs 25 cents a minute - that works out to $3 per hour or $27 for the nine hours that the meters are active.
I see fully 50% of the metered spots nearby the office occupied by handicap placard vehicles and they don’t move all day. It’s the same vehicles every day, and they are nice cars (...) View more -

oldsmar, FLAfter being consistently irked by selfish people with no apparent gait impediment, I was looking for a website to add as a reference to my own "How rude" notes. Here is that note: "Are you handicapped? Or do you just have a tag? Because of your selfishness, someone in a wheelchair who needs the wider space may not be able to conduct business here today. There is a (...) View more

St. Charles, ILNever read the abuse log that carefully, when I did, these popped out at me:
1) “Noted parked in HCP 7 times & ? if employee & really needs HCP when others are struggling to get into store & can't find HC Parking & unable to work” - So this means if a HC person finds a job, they shouldn’t park in HC parking because others are unable to work?
2) “This guy is (...) View more
