I have MS and I have to park in this parking lot almost every day. There aren't many handicap spaces so you have show up early. However almost every day this gymnast instructor (yes a gymnast instructor) parks her SUV in the last handicap spot then her and her children literally jump, bounce and cartwheel themselves into the building.

I was at my local Lowes today and I got into my van and did as I always do, transfer from my wheelchair to my drivers seat and get my body in order, put on my seat-belt and another car pulled up in the HC space next to me. Can anyone tell me if they know how I can tell if someone is using an expired handicap placard? All I have is the number but I don't know if their placard belongs to them or if it is theirs, how can I tell if it's valid or not. I would appreciate the help. As a doctor, I hate these placards. All the lying - like I'm stupid; I just saw you walk in. I just want to tell some people: "If you think I'm this dumb, you really shouldn't trust me as your doctor." How long does it take for the post to be shown on the list of violator's. I registered and made a post w/piture a few days ago and I dont see it any where. Can someone tell me how this works. I am trying to do my part as a respondsible person who transports our dad who is severely handicapped and get fedup with all the blatent people abusing the system..

I just want to deter future helpers from this mistake. I went to my orthopaedic surgeons office today after having my 57th (YES, number 57) surgery on 5/18/10. I parked in a handicap spot and realized that I only had an old placard in my vehicle. My new one was in my other car. Ok Guys and Gals

Some of us have disabilities that cannot be seen. We can walk just fine at times, other times we have great difficulty. I have COPD, Osteoarthritis, Degenerative Disc Disease, Enlarged Heart and Fibromyalgia. Some days I can do just about anything I need to. That means walk just fine.
