Many people even those with legitimate tags park over into the striped area meant for using a wheelchair ramp
I am happy that someone is checking on the handicapped plate users but just because someone doesn't look handicapped doesn't mean they aren't. I have severe spinal stenosis. What that means is I have x number of steps in me. At the beginning of a good day I can walk like anyone else, however before the day is over I may not be able to walk at all.
I would like to know when I get out of my friends car, who has handicapped plates how anyone knows whats wrong with him..He can walk, talk and drive and oh my he has handicapped plates...Would anyone like to change places with him he would glady give you his bad heart and his colon cancer. Why don't you get a life.
When I catch a car parked in a disabled spot without proper license or placard, I leave one of my own stickers that i print out on Avery Labels.
It shows a wheelchair with the universal NO sign through it and the words: This person is not handicapped, just a lazy inconsiderate jerk...and risking a $100 fine! Then I ALSO report the license plate time and location to the local police dept.
As I said SICK LUNGS DON'T SHOW!!!!!!
I should not have to explain myself to anyone about my disability. Don't you have anything better to do with your time???
Once again SICK LUNGS DON'T SHOW!!!!!!!!!!!!
People who have disabilitie that are not visible are always needing to apoligize for their being able to use the placard. I ask those who question my disability if they would like to spend a week in my body before critisizing the use of a placard. As the population ages, we need more Handicapped Parking spaces - not vigilantes trying to "catch" people. NO one want to need to park in (...) View more

It’s about time that someone publicized the abuse of handicapped placards. I’m a senior citizen and most of the people I know using one are below the age of 65 and DO NOT have a handicap. The abuse of this opportunity for handicapped drivers is awful. This special accommodation allows people to park at blue designated handicapped areas, park at meters without paying, park at permit only (...) View more
What does instruction #4 mean. Please explain
The majority of the postings I have seen on this site are cars with no placards or handicapped parking plates. This is not fraud it is a blantant violation of the handicapped parking laws as is in most cases parking on the lined off blue areas so that vans, etc. can load & unload.
Fraud would be people using the (often legitimately) issued placards in a fradulant manor. This might (...) View more
I was just reading the blog entries and I thought, I'll bet Mrs.Birdsall never reads the blog and could care less because she's probably making money off the site and the t-shirts, etc. It also occurred to me that many of you are probably terriby lonely and just need a place to talk (write) and others like to show off their "skills" at writing, i.e. Roger. haha If writing on (...)
