Palm Springs, CAGuys, I am an amputee (oower left leg/foot) and I STILL GET ASKED by people passing as I park if I'm disabled. Usually it's by some elderly person who is NOT disabled who is incensed that I'm taking the spot. These folks need to learn that being "crotchity" is not disabled, even if their doctor will commit fraud and vouch for them. Just try and get someone to enforce (...) View more

Myrtle Beach, SCMy wife has a number of problems that require us to park in the blue parking spot at area retail establishments. Am I going to get reported to this site if I drop her off at the front doors at the local "Big Box" store and proceed to park my vehicle, thats registered in MY name, but has METAL tags (not a placard) that her doctor signed off on that deems her "handicappable" (...) Sugar Land, TXOkay, I need help - can someone tell me why non-handicapped drivers feel free to question my handicapped parking access when I use my placard? At the relatively young age of 45, I'm a cancer survivor, with degenerative arthritis in my neck and Multiple Sclerosis. And yet, "Funny, but you look so good" is what I constantly hear, even from my dr.s, and must continue to work in (...) View more

Evansville, INI guess the only freedom of speech they allow on the website is if they are in agreement and not bringing up the constitutional rights of citizens of the United States of America. Also when pointing out that these people are breaking the law. Have we stepped on a few toes? I am so glad that one lady has decided to take it to the government, this site will be gone before long.

munster, INMaureen Birdsall:
While I do agree with the construction of your website; after reading the article (Chicago Sun-Times, 8 Oct 07) about your frustrations, I do not, however, agree with your judgment on a handicapped person based on physical appearance of whether they "look normal" or capability of walking, or car they drive, etc. I'm not sure if the Sun-Times published the (...) Myrtle Beach, SCApparently, the admins of this site do not like it when people are critical of their attempts at harassing people. I know for a fact that many of the posts I made today have now been deleted. That's nice. You say it is your right to turn "lawbreakers" in and post their info on your site without their consent..all in the name of free speech and doing a service to the disabled (...) View more

saugerties, NYI was standing in a convenience store waiting in line when I saw an article in my local paper entitled: "Web sites higher fines target handicapped parking violators” that article made me so mad, I bought the paper just so I could send you this message. I am 45 years old and drive a beautiful convertible. I also have a lovely blue hang tag that I was issued in Oct. of 2001. You see, I had a (...) View more

Rowley, IAWhat has happened to our ethics..If the doctors were ethical about giving out the handicap placad then there may not be so many of them.. Just like giving out drugs they need to be ethical.. How about just reporting the person to the store where they are voilating the parking spot. If they don't have the card displayed then the store should be announcing that the car with that license plate (...) View more

Burlington, KYI was diagnosed with MS in '99 and Fibromyalsia in '06. At first it didn't cause symptoms bad enough for anyone to "see" my disability. You can't see that I'm in so much pain that I need heavy narcotics to even stand up! Since '04 it is very evident that I am disabled. I use a walker and a scooter. Even I, at 33, get looks from people who think (...) View more

San Bernardino, CAI was disabled by an ignorant driver cause he was too busy doing other things while driving. Yes, I may look normal, but if you think you are going to enforce parking, you are sadly mistaken. I will gladly show you my wound, and probably get an indecent exposure citation, but I'll have the last laugh. Yes, sometimes I forget to put my placard up because my other vehicles have disabled (...) View more
