Napa, CAI have had neuropathy for the last 10 years and have had a disabled placard for 4. I depend from time to time on my son to drive me around when I need him to. Not too long ago I was in the hospital with a bladder hemorrage. My son came to pick me up when I got discharged but was hassled by a user on this site who had spotted him parking in a handicap spot on his way to get me. This (...) View more

Pawleys Island, SCWe live in a gated community, part of which (57 homes) receives mail from a kiosk serviced by the local postmaster. A majority of the homeowners (27 for, 28 against) recently, after a first vote for mailboxes, voted against having individual mailboxes, leaving several of the homeowners who are disabled with a difficult situation. One couple in their 80s (he has to walk around with an oxygen (...) View more

Concord, CAFinally a wonderful site tp help the disabled get their spots back. I'm so very glad to help. My Son has c.p. and is blind. I can't count the number of times I have seen abuse of placards. The worst offenders are at Oakland Children's Hospital. You have many employees who park in handicapped that are clearly NOT !! I have reported this to the hospital many times. Nothing is ever (...) pleasant hill, CAI parked in the Safeway parking lot in a designated handicaped spot. Got out of my car and was stopped by a police officer who said I didn't look like I should be there. I told him to hold on and opened my rear door only to pull out my oqygen tank. Needless to say he was dumbfounded. I kindly looked at him and said with a smile, "Open mouth insert foot". Thought I'd add my (...) View more

walnut creek, CAI think it's great that there is someone out there taking a stance against abusers. I have been very frustrated over the years by having to watch able bodied people park in handicapped spots and run into the store, mall, etc. I agree with many of the postings below that it is hard to determine a handicap based on physical appearance alone, but know that there are not that many handicapped (...) So how can there be a system to help prevent the blue zone parking abuse?
How bout this idea even thou it will cost $$$ but hey govt's spend a lot more money on things that are totally senseless.
At each blue zone a camera is install with a (...) View more -

However, two blocks away are two residential blue zones and the ones that applied for it have used a family member to get it. One used her mother who leaves the house like once every month the other uses her daughter who is mentally ******** and able to walk. This issue (...) View more

Miami, FLPlease be careful when reporting alleged fraudulent use of a disabled placard. It has been said before that if you do not see a disability, that does not mean it does not exist. I work for the Parking Violations Bureau and have seen and heard all on this subject. It is more important to report the violators who do not use a placard or disabled tag. On this note, there are some disabled tags that (...) View more

Martinez, CAThis website currently contains ads for a 4-day gun training course, pepper spray products, and martial arts training, featured right above a link to a "caught on tape" video showing a confrontation with an alleged abuser. Are these ads for your "volunteers" or for the innocent handicapped people they target?
