I have to say, this site has me conflicted. I am considered handicapped. I had my hip replaced 3 years ago and although I no longer need to use my cane anymore, if I have a really rough day or if the weather is bad, or my hip really hurts, those might be days I use my handicap sticker. My partner has disabled plates and has been harassed by self-appointed vigilantes because they "couldn't see the wheelchair." What they can't see are the scars from multiple surgeries and the arthritis in the other hip that is yet to be replaced. i see that my bulletin was deleted less than an hour after i posted it.
this site intentionally deletes posts and information otherwise negative to the site?

Maureen Birdsall should certainly request more handicapped parking at the places she has to take her brother. There just are not enough of them. I think she is well-intentioned, but this idea of confronting, harassing, inconveniencing and embarrassing people is way out of line. Am so frustrated by a person sitting in a handicapped spot waiting for their partner to exit the store. I drive round & round waiting for a spot while (usually he) sits there reading the paper or doing the crossword. This should be illegal too.A handicapped spot should only be available to one person. I was happy to read about this website in the Miami Herald yesterday. And I've ordered my sticky notes, too. Reading all the reports it's evident there are a lot of abusers of the handicap placard.
